Welcome to the EWU Women’s and Gender Studies Blog
Hello EWU WGS blog readers!
This is the first ever blog post for the Eastern Washington University Women’s and Gender Studies blog. Technical aspects are still being worked out, but we are working quickly to get things up and running smoothly!
This blog will discuss (but is not limited to) topics such as:
- rape culture
- feminism and feminist theory
- current events and news relating to the Women’s and Gender Studies Program and other organizations working to promote gender equity on campus and in the community
- feminist analysis of social phenomena, movies, music, and other media
We would like to encourage you to read, think critically, analyze, and comment on our posts. The aim here is a safe online community where feminist points of view are at the forefront and reader input is not only welcome but desired.
We hope that you learn something new, get inspired, become involved…
